God cannot lie but you can turn him into a liar in your own life.

Therefore when things are not happening the way you expect, if your walk is based on faith in what God said, be rest assured that it will be as he has spoken unto you. Live your life in such a way that the truth of the word of God will prevail over the facts of your situation.

One day, Jesus came towards the ship riding on the waves by walking on the water. The people in the boat became afraid thinking they had seen a ghost. Jesus told them, ” Be not afraid, it is I”.

After a brief moment , Peter called out to Jesus and said, ” Lord if it be thou, bid me come to thee”. Jesus answered and told him to step out and come. At once and with excitement, Peter leapt out of the boat and walked towards Jesus. Everyone inside the boat gasped as Peter strode towards Jesus.  Then the wind blew across Peter’s face and he suddenly realised what he had done. Several thoughts flashed through his mind. Being a veteran fisherman, he couldn’t not grasp how he could walk on the water. For a moment, he realised that the wind had been boisterous and as he took his eyes off Jesus Christ, he began to sink.

Anyone who came on the scene at the time Peter was sinking would have thought in his heart; ” This Peter must be a fool, how could he have stepped out unto the water!” At that moment, Peters life was turning the words of Jesus into a lie. But Peter cried out to Jesus and Jesus stretched out his hand and grabbed him. Jesus then made this remark: “Your faith is so small, why did you doubt me” As soon as they climbed into the boat, the wind died down. As long as Peter focused on the word of God and believed in the integrity thereof, the truth prevailed. As soon as he doubted the integrity of God’s word, he sank. God cannot lie but your life can make him a lie!

God ordained Samson to be a great deliverer for Israel. He was highly anointed to fulfil thejob. As long as Samson walked in obedience and according to the rules, he prospered. The moment Samson flaunted God’s instructions, he began to fail. But as soon as his hair began to grow (the sign of his covenant with God), God was back with him to fulfil His plans. Samson’s end was not an enviable one but he killed more of the enemies in his death than while alive. GOD DOES NOT AND WILL NOT LIE BUT YOUR LIFE CAN MAKE HIM A LIAR!

The Israelites were destined for greatness but one way or the other, they were born into slavery in Egypt. All the people of that generation were used to living as servants in Egypt. One day God mandated Moses to bring them out of Egypt into freedom to serve the Living God. They left Egypt but carried Egypt along in their hearts.

They could not grasp, the greatness of God to deliver and to preserve. They were full of complaining and grumbling. They were full of fear and doubts despite all assurances from the Living God. It did not enter into their hearts that they could be free.

It got to a point that they wearied God with their attitude and God told Moses, ” I will destroy this people and raise up your generation to replace them” but Moses declined.  God had to fulfil His promise for his name sake. Nevertheless, that particular generation perished in the wilderness.

There is a God, the creator of the ends of the earth. God does not and cannot lie but your life can make him a lie. What a paradox. If we had no insight into such stories, we would have concluded that God failed but no! They failed God.

Therefore when things are not happening the way you expect, if your walk is based on faith in the belief that God has spoken, be rest assured that it will be as he has spoken unto you.

Live your life in such a way that the truth of the word of God will prevail over the facts of your situation.

Numbers 23:19 KJV
God is not a man, that he should lie; neither the son of man, that he should repent: hath he said, and shall he not do it ? or hath he spoken, and shall he not make it good?

Hebrews 6:12 KJV
That ye be not slothful, but followers of them who through faith and patience inherit the promises.
