This issue of God is a subject many youths have come to abhor and avoid. Several have dropped the idea completely. The world is generally drifting towards lowering standards and accepting that there are no absolutes. Accepting God is accepting his laws as sacrosanct and with him there are no shades of grey.
Believing in God would take something from you. We are all full of garbage. Most often, we are not aware of it as we place much value on such garbage. God takes away from us many things we value and replaces those values with what he values. Mind you, on the long run, we are better off for it but the process is not often palatable.
