About Dr.Agboola John

I, Dr Agboola John Owoade am a Consultant General and Laparoscopic Surgeon.

A fellow of the West African College of Surgeons (FWACS), Fellow of the Medical College of Nigeria,  a life member of World Association of Laparoscopic Surgeons (WALS) and a fellow of the International Association for Gastrointestinal endoscopy.

I am an international corresponding member of American society for clinical Oncology (ASCO) as well as American Association for Cancer Research (AACR). Member of the Nigerian Medical Association (NMA) and of the Christian Medical and Dental Association (CMDA)

I currently work as a General Surgeon at General Hospital, Ilorin, Kwara State, Nigeria.

I am a public speaker involved in several health campaigns and seminars.

I finished from the College of Medicine, University of Ilorin in 2001 and concluded my Postgraduate Training at the University of Ilorin Teaching Hospital as a General Surgeon in October 2011 and thereafter proceeded to the World Laparoscopy Hospital Gurgaon, New Delhi, India for intensive training in Laparoscopic Surgery with introduction to Robotic Surgery (March 2012) and obtained fellowship in gastrointestinal endoscopy April, 2015

I am skilled in breast surgeries, gastrointestinal procedures, colorectal surgeries, procedures for hemorrhoids, surgery for goiter and several laparoscopic procedures.

I was a student at Federal Government College, Ogbomoso, Oyo State, Nigeria, from where I graduated with Honours in 1993.

I am a devout Christian, married to Bukola (Nee Adido) and a happy father of two.

  1. Thank you very much sir, i was privileged to be a student under you during your stay at EKSUTH. Sir, i intend to be a neurosurgeon in future, and i wish to have it outside the country. So i would love to ask which country is suitable enough,, and at least the application requirements are not that tough and strict. I would also ask sir,, is India a good place to study neurosurgery. please sir can you list out the names of the hospitals that you think i can process
